NAIROBI INNOVATION WEEK 2023

We are happy to announce that the 7th edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week will take place on 17th - 19th May, 2023 at University of Nairobi's Main Campus Great Court and the Hyssop Parking.

We are inviting applications from the students, faculties, University of Nairobi alumni, local and international individuals and firms for showcasing and exhibiting their innovations during this great event.

In the previous edition of the Nairobi Innovation Week, the event attracted 2000+ attendees/delegates and 70+ exhibitors to the event.

This year's event will include innovation exhibitions, summits, Hackathon, music extravaganza, career fair for student’s, health talks, cash awards for innovators and support for commercialization for the best university led innovation (whether student or faculty).

The event also provides a great opportunity to meet potential innovation development partners and clients to both University of Nairobi community and external organizations innovators /exhibitors.

64th Graduation Ceremony – Friday, December 11, 2020

The University of Nairobi wishes to inform all students from the above colleges who qualified for the award of various degrees and diplomas at the end of last academic year (2019/2020) and members of the public, that the 64th Graduation Ceremony will be held VIRTUALLY on Friday, December 11, 2020 commencing at 8.00 a.m. at the Great Court. The event will be streamed live through the following links; www.uonbi.ac.ke.ke/livestream and facebook.com/uonbi.ac.ke.

CLEARANCE OF FEES AND ORDER OF NAMES:

Only those who will have completed paying the fees due to the University by Friday, November 20, 2020 will be allowed to graduate.  ALL graduands are advised to confirm the order of their names ONLINE with their respective Deans/Directors.

GRADUATION/CONVOCATION FEE

Each graduand will be required to clear with the respective Department/Faculty/School/Institute/Centre,  Library, Halls of Residence, Games Department, Finance and pay a compulsory Graduation/Convocation fee of Kshs. 1,000.

Conduct Of Online Mock Election To Be Held On Monday November 16th, 2020 From 8.00 A.M. To 5.00 P.M. In All Electoral Colleges

The UNSA Independent Electoral Commission is established under Article 13 of the UNSA Constitution 2017 to inter alia undertake   students’ elections on a regular basis in accordance with the aims, objectives and guiding principles in the   Constitution and Rules and Regulations Governing Students’ Elections, 2017.

In undertaking its  functions under  the  Constitution and in preparation  of   the  Wednesday November 18th, 2020 online elections, the Commission  deems it  fit   that  a preparatory  online  mock election  be  conducted. Towards this endeavor, the duties of all students who are members of the Association include active participation in the electoral and other activities of the Association and to ensure that the Association complies with the Constitution, relevant laws, regulations and good governance practices.

The  Commission now  calls  on all students who are members of the Association to  participate  in  the  scheduled  online mock election  to be held on Monday  November 16th, 2020  from 8.00 a.m. to 5.00  p.m. across all Electoral Colleges in the University.  To access the UNSA 2020 election platform and for the online mock election, all students are required to log onto www.eballot.uonbi.ac.ke and actively participate in the scheduled mock elections exercise.

Note: The Commission may make necessary clarifications and corrections from time to time during the election process.
