FREE HEALTH CAMP FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF NAIROBI COMMUNITY

The Department of Nursing Sciences in partnership with University Health Services (UHS) and the Blood Transfusion Unit - Ministry of Health has organized a free Community Health Camp for the University of Nairobi community to be held on Thursday, 19th May 2022 from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm at the Chancellor's Court (Graduation Square).

 

The services to be offered include:

1.  Screening for diabetes mellitus and hypertension

2.   Blood donation

3.  Intensifying Covid 19 vaccination

4.  Screening for weight and obesity

7000 Seedlings planted on Annual Tree Planting and Growing Day

The University community and its partners gathered and planted 7000 tree seedlings on Friday, May 13, 2022, on the Annual Tree Planting and Growing Day.

Equity Group Foundation,County Government, National Government,  Shamba Café, Loresho Community and Association of Green champions joined the university to plant and grow trees.

 “We have been planting trees annually for as long as I can remember. When we plant a tree, we show that we have hope; Hope for a better tomorrow,” remarked the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama during the official ceremony.
