The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has placed approximately 13 of the top students who sat for their Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations in 2020 at the University of Nairobi (UoN) to pursue the Bachelor of Science degree in Medicine.
360 of the 869 top students who scored grade A will be admitted at UoN in September 2021 to pursue various degree programmes. KUCCPS data also shows that UoN will receive a total of 6407 students.
Simiyu Robin Wanjala, the top boy nationally, will pursue a Bachelor of Surgery degree. Simiyu, a former student of Murang’a High School managed a mean of 87.334 in KCSE.
Sharon Chepngeno Terer, the top girl nationally, will pursue a Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree programme. Sharon had a mean score of 87.173 from the Kenya High School.
Wasonga Allan Udoma, a former student at Agoro Sare High School who was second nationally, will study Bachelor of Surgery at UoN.
The new students will report to the Univeristy physically on Monday, September 20, 2021. As is the UoN tradition, the freshers will be taken for a week-long orientation programme to acquaint them to the University life and culture.
