The Global Centre on Adaptation (GCA) in partnership with the University of Nairobi will celebrate the Africa Adaptation Acceleration Day on the 26th of October, 2021. The celebrations are a precusser into the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in Glasgow.

The Vice-chancellor, Prof. Stephen Kiama has welcomed 324 students to the Koitaleel Samoei University College, a constituent college of the University of Nairobi. Over 100 adult learners mostly from the Maasai Community were awarded certificates in proficiency and literacy skills with the oldest being 62 years old in Ewuasi Kidong, Kajiado County. The Course is offered by the University of Nairobi, Faculty of Education.
The graduation Ceremony was on September 28, 2021 and it marked celebrations of the 55th International Literacy Day. World Literacy Day is marked globally in the month of September.
16 universities including the University of Nairobi will participate in the Kuza Kizazi Rugby 15s inter-university competitions slated for the months of October and November 2021. Kuza Kizazi will sponsor all the rugby teams.
